The Christian World Web of Venantius Fortunatus – world relations and the Carmina
The dissertation is about the Carmina-collection of the early-mediaeval occasional poet Venantius Fortunatus. The Carmina are a literary collection that has been assembled by the poet himself. They make an offer of Christian world relations to their recipients, members of the Elite of the Merovingian Francia. For this, they create a web of connections between religious concepts and everyday objects and aims, that is fittingly called the Christian world web. This world web creates Christian world relations by transforming the strong and weak evaluations of the protagonists in the poems, and potentially also those of the recipients. In the thesis the concept of resonant world relations after Hartmut Rosa is applied.
