Aaron Plattner is awarded the "ATHEN-Stipendium" of the Austrian Academy of Sciences

Monday, 04 January 2021

Aaron Plattner, Classical philologist, is awarded a fellowship by the Austrian Academy of Sciences. He will spend nine months at the Austrian Archaeological Institute at Athens and visit archaeological sites in Greece, since his dissertation project deals with the Greek writer and perieget Pausanias. The analysis of the text from the 2nd century CE with a focus on cults, ritual acts, festivals, sacred spaces, and sacred (art) objects will gain much by the opportunity to know more about the places and objects in direct contact.

We congratulate Aaron on his fellowship!
